HMMM ANOTHER THING TO PT OUT,
THIS IS THE FOOTNOTE NEXT TO THE ECU UPGRADE FOR THE IS350
Only the computer which TOYOTA Genuine parts number"89661-53620" and both mentions of DENSO parts number"275100-3762"or"275100-3763" are in on a genuine computer label becomes conformity.
DOEST THAT MEAN OUR ECUS ARE MADE BY DENSO? OR IS THAT ONLY THE JAPANSES SPEC ONES?
OHH AND THE STUPID ECU UPGRADE COST ~ $1,350

Like I said in the thread a couple days ago, my understanding is only the JDM spec ECU can have that done to it (or at least definitely NOT the north american ECU).
Tuning of a non-forced induction ECU can still pick up 10-20 horsepower typically because the factory tune is usually very overly conservative (which is why LMS can run 5 lbs of boost on the bone stock ECU program- there's that much safety built into the factory tune).
TOMS pricing is insane, but I guess that's what happens when nobody else can do it.
Tuning an LT1 via mail order is like $100-150 bucks for example, $300 for the super overpriced vendors... because there's lots of folks offering the service.
