Default Lexus new F-Sport clutch and short shifter

Lexus will soon debut an "F-sport" clutch and short shifter for our cars along with several other F-sport products. About how much can we expect to pay for these? How much for install?

F-Sport Clutch
The F-Sport Clutch increases clamping force approximately 15% to handle higher torque capacity and provide improved feel.

F-Sport Quick Shifter
Engineered and machined from billet aluminum, the F-Sport Quick Shifter decreases shift throw by approximately 30% for positive shifting.

My guess is ~$150-$200 for the quick shift kit & ~$1000 for the clutch.

I would think install would be 1-2 hours for the shift kit & 6-8 hours for the clutch.

it would be a preference upgrade. Although im curious how the new clutch would feel, I'm only going to buy the short shifter. IMO the IS250 isn't worth the money for half of the F-sport accessories; but short shifter would be cool if, and only if, its reasonably priced.

I bet those shocks are going to be $$$$$. Too bad no shock company makes a set for the 2IS now (Koni, Bilstein, Tokico, etc.).

I dont think the clutch is worth the $1000 IMO. Why spend $1000 on one clutch when you get get maybe 2 ACT?

Pricing for F-sport stuff was posted here:

http://my.is/forums/f87/f-sport-pricing-346062/

$650 for clutch, $300 for short shift kit

Why you need a stronger clutch on a car that doesn't produce any power is a mystery though.

I have to admit too. WTF is the use of a performance clutch for 200hp?

Could it be in anticipation of a re-worked engine for 2009? Hmmm

I seriously doubt it.

Unless you're suggesting a lot of 06-08 owners will run out and replace their engines, thus requiring replacement of the clutch to hold more power.

If anything dropping the manual option for 09 seems more likely given how few they sell.
