Default What device can change Ignition Time?

I want to couple S-AFC with something that can control the ignition time (S-ITC is out of production already) for the optimal performance.

I remember some HKS device can control that..... forget about its name.

RA,

Once you run the F-Con S the S-AFC is obsolete unless you want to use it as a graphics control unit. The F-Con S is basically a stand-alone piggyback computer. I believe it retails for around $700. GReddy has a unit called the e-Manage and still pending on application. Regardless, I'm not sure if both units have applications for the JZS-160. If there was I wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of the conversion.

v300,

In my understanding, F-Con S is not available in U.S. Both F-CON S and e-Manage are great controlling device but I'm not so sure that many tuners would know exactly how to tune it as it's not as popular as S-AFC and other APEX electronics.

If you know any tuner who is capable in tuning e-Manage, pm me.

I will contact GReddy for more information.

As for GReddy... beat you to it already. The unit is available for sale except I don't really want my car to be guinea-pigged by the certain shop. Signal Auto or Kiyosuke Kida when he's available in the US can tune the e-Manage. I'd rather let GReddy test the unit on my car directly though. Dynamics Autosport in Lake Forest is one of the only HKS F-Con S tuners/licensed distributors in the country. Also, if you look at HKS USA's website they have plans to release the infamous F-Con V Pro. The problem with the industry is that people LAG. As for the F-Con S, that unit is not cheap. $700 for the F-Con S, $300 for the harness (Aristo V300), and depending on applications sensors that cost $$$.

As for the S-AFC... it's a respectable "entry level tuning device." You can't compare it against the e-Manage, F-Con S (V Pro), AEM EMS, Haltech, Motecs... It's limited on it's capabilities. As for the S-AFC I am going to run one soon to take advantage of slightly larger fuel injectors.

v300,

GReddy recommends a couple places to do the tuning in local area, SP Engineering and Area 51.

SP said they aren't ready for this but they should in about 2 weeks or so. shrug.

I'll wait for 2 weeks and see happens.

Also F-Con V Pro seems to be a very interesting device. I could get the e-Manage for 1/3 of F-Con V Pro according to your quote, $700 + $300 for the min set. Unless F-Con is way superior t han e-Manage in tuning and functioning, I may want to just stick with GReddy.

APEX is a little quiet in this scene....
