I guess it wouldn't be O2 sensor related if you pulled a P0328.

Correct. Apparently it would be background noise related, not knock related. See below for complete explanation of Toyota's implementation of P0328 DTC:

Any chance there is an exhaust leak or mechanical damage to sensor one bank one?

FWIW, if it were general knock, you would have two DTCs - one for each bank.

No exhaust leak, that I am sure of. As far as damage, if it only happened to me or Ian, I would say maybe, but since it happened to both of us I highly dough it. It may have been both codes, I don't remember if I could scroll to the next code or not, I just quickly read it on the scanner as I was in the middle of driving.

Also, looking at the fail-safe sheet I noticed only 3 things will reset the CEL by turning the car off and on again... which are:

1. Air-Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor Heater
2. Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater
3. Knock Sensor

of the 3 only the knock sensor DTC will pull power the way it does.

I now know it's a knock issue 100% and the thing that points me to it being our 91 gas here in so CAL, is that Jay is not having this issue with 93 gas and it only came up for me ones as I tested most of the time with 100 octane, it only came up when I used 91 one time.

Now here's something. This weekend and including today I drove the car differently than I ussally due. The two times I got the error was in traffic shifting between 2nd and 3rd.
Would driving out of 3rd at really low speeds cause this problem?
This weekend and today I made sure I down shifted to either 1st or 2nd, based on how slow I was going. Where normally I would stay in 2nd and 3rd.

Daniel did any folks in Cali with an automatic transmission buy the headers? Are they having any issues?
It may have been that, it would put a load on the engine, starting in a high gear at low speeds. Keep driving that way and see if pops up again, than if it doesn't after a while try it the old way and see if that makes it come up.

Only one other person has gotten one local, but his is a 350, I will be installing his soon and we shall see.

Have you been to a 1/4 mile track yet? I know you ran the 1/8th mile back in December. Maybe you can already run 12's without a header.

Crazy IS, you need to pull the DTC from your ECM. It is possible that you and Mazzuri are experiencing different problems. Besides, its the first step one should performe when troubleshooting.

He is 100% having the same issue, all his symptoms are exactly the same as what I had.

The last time I had this issue it was when I put 200 miles on the headers. I am at 550 miles now and it hasn't happened since.

Are you simply running higher octane fuel now? What did you change?

No still on 91.
I just changed the way i drive.
Also I noticed the computer changed. When I first put on the headers a full tank of gas would show as approximate range 388 miles. Now a full tank shows 352 miles. what do you think?
