i think it would be interesting to have a run where you switch from snow to power at say 4000 rpms and see what if anything happens. i'd be more curious than actually looking for anything

I've datalogged accelleration rates (via CAN bus) for all 3 modes, and there is no difference. The only difference is the calibration between the throttle pedal and actual throttle position, and transmission behavior. At full throttle, the engine will deliver the exact same power in all 3 tranny modes.

didn't we discuss this somewhere else? also doesn't pwr mode make you shift a bit before redline so therefor make it useless in drag racing?

Does anyone know the additional gains of adding exhaust or an intake to the headers?

I may volunteer myself as the guine pig for this.

Uncorrected on a day with excellent density altitude maybe, but not corrected for weather. Typical is low to mid 260's.

I know it's a long long thread, but just to keep you from having to read the whole thing. I do not have the headers installed. This is just a baseline dyno so we will know gains once the headers are installed. The headers should be down here in a couple of weeks. My access to my friends lift is limited to sundays. This being said, I will do what i can to get them on asap once i get them.

From what I understand the install is not really hard, but not real easy either. I think Daniel/carchitect/lobux and a few others could do it in less than 1-2hrs. I am guessing it will take me and my friend 4-5. Reading here (and talking to carchitect it looks like the drivers side is where it's real tight.

To others:
I talked to carchitect on sunday and time permitting (he is super busy) he might be able to come grab my car this thursday and take it up to Lexus with him. There he will hook up the scan tool and get us more data.

we'll keep the thread updated as progress continues.
