There's not a whole lot of reason to say the V2's aren't better than the V1. A conclusive test of the V2 headers still needs to be done without CEL's, and with datalogs of air / fuel ratios.

Hey, is the company out of business? I've checked the website and it always says that product is out of stock, called the company and never gotten an answer, and emailed the company to no answer as well.

Like I've said before I have not had any problems with my sim so I could test them.

So what is the final verdict with v.2 headers for the 350? HAvnt the tests been inconclusive with regards to HP? i know torque has greatly improved but is there still hope for v.2?? or are we now waiting on v.3? I know daniel is quite busy but is there even talk of a v3?

I don't think it's possible that the AFR curves could be identical. The headers would have to change the flow characteristics somehow, somewhere for better or worse.

I found out something interesting about my sim. With my OBDII reader connected I can see that no CEL are pending or showing on the dash. However, the emission status LED on my code reader is showing that the ECU's internal test of the "O2S" is not completed.

I have a 2007 IS250 and have driven more that 700 miles since the battery was reconnected after installing the headers. All the other internal testing (EVAP, EGR, etc....) has been completed during normal drive cycles.

I am 100% sure that the sim is wired correctly but I think its function is preventing the ECU from performing this O2 diagnostic test. It is not enough of an issue to trigger a CEL (MIL) but still the ECU knows that something is wrong.

I plan on disconnecting the sim to see if the car performs differently even though the CEL will be showing on the dash.

Regards,

I doubt for good reason in this case. Joe's summary was informative, but mentioned nothing about air / fuel ratios. The only bit of info we've gotten about it has been you saying they were the same, which would be a very strange result.

Gaugster, I think you should just wait a while longer to check the readiness registers again later. If the ECU detected a problem, it would show a problem.

Maybe - But now that I think about it, I have had the sim installed for around three months. Over two month w/o the headers as I was waiting for a modification so they would fit with the AWD.

I have some intersting results from a day at the dragstrip but I don't know what to make of it really. It starts on post # 279
