Ya, I know. I went with the headers and intake first as we all though it would add similar power as was reported on the 2WD version. This proved to be no different then stock.

So, almost as a last resort, I purchased the Tanabe as a complimentary mod'. The rest is history.

man i thought these would be the best bang for the buck! but only knocking it down by .3 of a second kinda sucks.. lol WITH exhaust and intake.. at least half a second or something lol

*** ohh he has a AWD..isn't it a tadd little itty bitty slower then 250 rwd?

Yes, the AWD is slower then the 2WD for obvious reasons but I think the real difference is in the headers themselves.

They AWD are much shorter the the 2WD version. I would guess that this is the main reason for the difference in power. However no one else has done my level of testing on the 2WD IS250 to know for sure.

I'm pretty surprise at the result, the dyno looks good, but the track result is a disappointment. no gain at trap speed what so ever.

I might be able to claim about 0.5 mph increase overall but that is pushing it.

The AWD dyno data that I have showed no gains what so ever but this was before I added the Tanabe. I used the track to test afterwards just to save some cash.

The 2WD dyno results from Mazzuri don't apply to the AWD headers so it's best not to group them together.

At partial throttle it really feels faster but at full throttle it is hard to notice any improvments. It kind of make me think that the ECU is doing somthing weird at full throttle that is limiting the overall output. But that is just my guess.

They don't make one that fits the AWD.

I am looking at some tuning possibilities however.

Kurtz - how did you find that out? No wonder he's no longer on or anything.
