As you can see the covers can go back on. I'm using the K&N filter but the HKS is very popular also. I use the K&N because I already have a couple cleaning kits and have been using an oiled cotton filter for many years.

Thanks,Koz.
I'll probably go HKS if I decide to go JoeZ.
With the JoeZ and K&N at high RPM, I get a nice purr (which is noticeably different from stock). The other aftermarket intakes produce a loud roar (which would be nice on a muscle car). It's all a matter of personal preference!
Any aftermarket part can cause warranty issues if it caused a failure. What is good about the JoeZ is you keep/use the OEM air box; all you replace is the restrictive tube.
And the important part there is -if it causes a failure-
If the aftermarket part didn't cause the problem then the problem remains covered under warranty, just like with anything else. And it's hard to envision replacing one tube with a better tube causing any problems.
if you have concerns about warranty, best thing to do is wait on the IS-F sport intake, which will include a new ice box and straight pipe. cost is supposed to be $495.

ooppps I meant to say the "F" sportline of performance parts.

What a rip off! Anyone that would consider spending that much money for an intake on this car is out of their freaking mind.
As for warranty issues, there is NO WAY a JoeZ pipe would ever have an effect on this car's warranty and if someone were to try blaming a pipe they would have a lot of work to do. It's only a metal pipe replacing a rubber tube with bends and a resonator on and does absolutely nothing that could harm this engine. I went with black pipe and black couplers for a stealthy stock look and when I'm at the track, local meets or at the dealership, no one even notices it!. I've also had my car to the dealer more than 2 dozen times and they never once said anything about it, though they have complimented the exhaust, but that isn't exactly a stealthy mod.

Joe,it stinks that you don't have any units in stock. You say it may be 2-3 weeks before any are available.
