Is it worth it on a 250?
If so is there a matching air filter?
A LMS/Fujita intake better than a JoeZ?
Can I still use the engine cover over it?
Warranty issue?

The main reason I chose the JoeZ is because it showed approx 6hp gains. Also, I liked it because it utilizes the stock air box that has a cold air intake. All the others eliminate the air box and get their supply air from under the hood. This will allow hotter air to be used. Also the JoeZ is not as loud as the others. I find the others to make to much noise. I'm very happy with the JoeZ.

it maybe a stupid question, but there is something that I always confuse. I understand if we use the air under the hood the air is hotter so we want to use the air from the front which is cooler. But most of the intake that I see out there are made by aluminum. Will the intake heat up during the engine running? If that is the case, will it get hot enough to heat up the air the run inside it? What I am trying to ask it, will that end up because the intake is too hot and our engine is going to use hot air instead of cold? Can someone please explain to me. Thanks.

This was debated before. The intake is so short and the engine sucks up air so fast that the air does not have a chance to heat up and cause loss of performance when the intake is hot.

I run a similar contraption in my RX300 using an old Weapon-R pipe and you can literally touch the interior of the pipe just after racing or a commute and it will be cool to the touch compared to the exterior of said pipe.

Pictures tell the story. Also for the records you should stick with the stock air filter and leave the carbon filter in the airbox lid. I've dyno tested 2 other brands of drop in filters and also dyno'd with the carbon filter removed with no success.

As you can see the covers can go back on. I'm using the K&N filter but the HKS is very popular also. I use the K&N because I already have a couple cleaning kits and have been using an oiled cotton filter for many years.
