Default Finally took some pics of my engine bay...

These pics were taken at Usaci world finals this past November, I'm just now finding them on the camera. The car still isnt running (after 2years of work), but it is assembled. i need to get a new head due to mine getting some gouges in one of the cam journals, but other than that, its ready to rock. heres a brief run down of my build:

GTE swap
CP pistons and Scat rods
HKS 264 cams
Induction Motorsports PT67R turbo kit
Induction Motorsports Supra fuel kit with twin pumps and 780cc injectors
Induction Motorsports custom intake manifold and intercooler
Custom exhaust with dual Magnaflow mufflers
AEM EMS
Built Supra Auto Tranny
Tial BOV and WG
Full Ferrea street valvetrain
Head is port/polished and a 3way valve job
Soon to be added Meth injection

I'm planning on running E85 on it, and using the meth with pumpgas if need be. I'm hoping for 600-650 to the wheels with this setup, tranny is guaranteed to 600, so i'll see how long it holds up with my lead foot.

i guess cause this is the performance category. figured i would just stick with the engine stuff in here, and the rest in the normal gs3 forum.

Sweet swap Supraownzu, but why would you want to run E85? That stuff is pretty corrosive to a regular combustion engine.

the entire fuel system has been redone to withstand anything E85 can throw at it, so i'm not worried. also, since E85 is available pretty easily, and cheaply, its the best alternative to having to drive around on race gas all the time. granted the pumpgas and meth should come close, if E85 is around i plan to use that. from the research i did, it looks like people are tuning E85 and getting similar results as with 110octane leaded, so i'm actually looking forward to messing with it. i prolly wouldnt have sold my supra if E85 would have been around a couple years ago, race gas gets expensive

Cool, I thought that might have been the case. Just wanted to be sure. As far as the octane rating of E85, the results people are getting should be dead on using 110 race gas since M85 (85%Methanol+15%Gasoline) has an octane rating of 111. With its similar mix E85 (85% Ethanol) should be very close in octane rating if not slightly better. BTW, I think its real cool that you are taking the initiative to experiment with alternative fuels for HP gains. A hydrogen setup would be cool. That stuff has an octane rating of 120, but the downside is the damned tanks are so heavy from the thermal insulation needed to keep it extremely cool. Anyway I hope everything works out.
