Hey Tanabe, I have a suggestion. I would sell my HKS in a second if you sold a FULL exhaust kit instead of a cat-back. One of the main issues with the 2IS and it's horsepower gains is the cat system. A full exhaust system for this car would be an answer to my prayers, knowing that exhaust flow is a setback of horsepower for the 2IS. Just my opinion.

Dude, the Tanabe isnt even a catback, it is an axleback. I believe the HKS is an actual cat-back exhaust system. Nonetheless, Im sure most people on here would like a full exhaust solution. BTW, where in NJ you from? Im in Toms River.

Tanabe is an axleback and so is the HKS.

Is there a silencer available for this model of exhaust? I was looking at your website and couldnt tell if it would fit the MT version.

Thanks

Has anyone find the exhaust becomes quieter as it breaks in? I was told opposite, it will be louder. I find it quieter maybe because I got used to it?

think the tanabe prices went up late last year so you probably won't find it for $549 new anywhere. But you can probably still find it for a good price used.

It does seem to be quieter the longer you have it. But it's probably cause your used to it now...

I love it, however. you guys should make a Full exhaust. the megan midpipe I added to the exhaust makes it sound soo much better, and gives some hp/tq in lower end. It is also lighter than the stock midpipe.
I had tanabe axle back on my Mazda 6. I loved it also, but same thing. I had to get a custom midpipe to make it sound like i wanted it. Everybod loved the way it looked and sounded. it was mean.
here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQRg8...e=channel_page
you can also look up on my profile a vieo of the IS350 with Tanabe only and a video with the tanabe+midpipe
TANABE FTW!!!!!

I've got the tanabe and I absolute loathe it. It drones on the highway, it has a horrible sound around 2.5k rpms to 3k when accelerating with medium throttle and the fitment was nothing close to the Fujitsubo I had. It's just horrible. The only good thing about it, is the aesthetics. It's for sale, anyone?

its got quieter as it broke in yes, its the best sound, when you put alittle gas into it, its give a great deep drone, love it, just perfect sound, , especially goes with F sport intake too lolz, save couple MPG also
