Its a bit louder than stock with the windows up. Between 2k-3k, it has a nice resonant sound.

With the windows down its more noticeable, luv it!

When you start it, it sounds amazing. I can hear my car from in the house when I warm it up on cold mornings. Also, you can't hear it below 3500rpm's. and if you let someone else drive your car, stand outside and have them floor it past you, it sounds so sweeet.

Totally agree, the exhaust sounds ammmazing when you first start the car. I have my car in the garage, and I typically leave it on warming up, while I get my coffee, the exhaust sounds so nice inside the house, a very nice deep bass.

After reviewing what everyone has to say. I might consider in getting a tanabe exhaust. I was thinking about the HKS Hi Power. My friend has that exhaust and the droning kills me. I'm not sure if his supercharger increases the noise level. But all I can say is I don't like it. lol.

I second this. The best thing to do in this situation is go find someone locally and hear it for yourself. The soundclips on this and other websites do not do it any justice. Although the sound it makes is acceptable, it's definitely louder than the OEM exhaust. I guess I just got so used to the stock exhaust note (which is library quiet). Like the others said, under 3500 RPM or so, you'll definitely hear it, but thank God, that it doesn't drone when cruising at 85-100 MPH.

The build quality of this exhaust is top notch. The tips fill in the cut out of the bumper perfectly. Unless you're a hardcore car junkie, you won't even notice them. It's definitely a sleeper exhaust.

I believe this is stock exhaust noise level inside the cabin right?

Tanabe claims not to exceed 93dba, and that would be 93dba outside whereas r&t did theirs inside.

Oh ic now. In that case, what's tanabe noise level at idle, 50mph cruise, 70mph cruise, and 1st gear max inside the cabin?

Any data?

Very curious

I'd say the Tanabe is about 15% louder than the stock exhaust. Definitely not twice as loud as the stock, but noticeably louder, especially from the interior. More of a visible mod than audible, in my opinion.
