Default tanabe exhaust

guys, just have a quick question before I purchase an exhaust

when people say Tanabe Exhaust

do they all mean the Tanabe Medallion Touring Exhaust?

just want to make sure that there is ONLY one Tanabe exhaust for

IS250..

anyways,,I'm still tempt to save little bit more for the

Lexus HKS..but tanabe medallion touring exhaust sounds pretty good

for its price..right??

thanks everyone..

BTW..between the Tanabe and Lexus HKS,,

which on has a deeper sound at idle?

and which one is louder??

I like it when it's kind a deep(deeper than our stock) at idle

but kinda loud at WOT!!!! used to drive G35 6MT with Injen Intake

and loved the sound!!

so I'm trying to get something like that..hehe

yes they mean the medallion touring exhaust. I think the hks are louder from what people have been saying, but then again cost almost 2x as much since it's a full catback system.

From what I have heard. Tanabe is very quiet when idling (which is why I believe so many people liked it) and when reving, it gives a nice deep tone.

HKS is definitely louder, not sure how it sounds when idling.

Try to find it on youtube, or find friends who has them.

I was debating if I wanted to spend the cash on the exhaust but after hearing it in person on a IS250, it changed my mind. Tanabe sounded really nice.

Well if you want something a little more loder but no loder then the HKS hi-Power. Go with the Gressy SP2. Here is a link to the video

yes they mean the medallion touring. Lexus HKS is louder. Tanabe exhaust sounds like the G35/350Z except more aggressive. i think it sounds better

thanks thanks...
I loved my G35's sound when I used to have it..so I'm trying to find something
similar..I think..both Lexus HKS and Tanabe kinda sound like G35..
I only had Injen CAI on my G35..and it sounded good..
so I'm hoping to get the same result/sound from Injen on IS250..
I heard..it's loud at WOT..so hopefully the Injen Intake will complement either
Tanabe or Lexus HKS

If you live near the San Fernando Valley (Woodland Hills) you can stop by and hear both. I have the Tanabe and ISNIICE has the hks. I'm sure he'll let you hear it. Pretty much free this week (Spring break baby!). Anyways, lmk.

You will not hear the Tanabe at idle and it is not aggressive at high RPM. It has a nice deep pur off idle to midrange. The Greddy has a slight tone at idle and is a little deeper off idle/mid and is a little more aggressive at WOT. The HKS is more aggressive at WOT then both the Tanabe and Greddy. It also could produce a slight drone at highway speed/RPM.

Where is San Fernando Valley? Is it SoCal?

Well, I live in SJ area, I guess it's not close to San Fernando Valley
