Question HKS and LEXUS HKS confusion

I think many questions have been asked about these 2 and people are confused. Well, me too I guess

So, Lexus HKS is the one come installed when you bought the car, it has the tips similar to Tanabe, and sounds really soft (softer than Tanabe IMO)

Meanwhile, HKS (HKS Hi-Powers) is the one that sounds REALLY LOUD AND AGGRESSIVE. It is also the one that has big-big round tips.

Definetely a huge difference in sound. When you start the car, you can barely hear the deep tone from LEXUS HKS but in a HKS HI-POWERS you can hear loud deep tone.

Put your inputs please about these 2 exhausts.

Differences in the Exhaust cans are what makes more and/or less noise...

Lexus HKS Exhaust (sold by Lexus ONLY)

HKS Hi-Power Exhaust (sold by HKS authorized dealers)

Tanabe for the record...

That's Correct - IF you paid for the $1,500 Port Installed Option.. It will show on the actual new car Window sticker..

However, you can also buy it ay any Local Lexus Parts Counter..

The videos don't do the Lexus HKS justice. Sound is all a matter of opinion for the most part, but I think the Lexus HKS is louder and more aggressive than the Tanabe but definitely less aggressive than the HKS Hi-Power

Here are some non-factory pics of the Lexus HKS:

I couldn't agree more with buds, you have definitely got to hear the exhaust in person

I have a friend who has HKS hi-powers, IMO it looks too big (the tips), making the rear unbalanced. The LEXUS HKS and TANABE have better tips. For sound, HKS HI powers are way too loud inside the cabin IMO. Tanabe n Lexus HKS are better I guess?

i would love to have tappered tips like the Lexus version however the tips i believe are to small. with these tips even though they look big the rear of the car is wide and they fill the cutout of the bumper perfectly.

i will not pay 1000 for an exhaust....screw that, not worth it in my opinion

i've come to like my hi-powers. yes, it is loud at certain RPMs, and it looks somewhat out of place, but IMO the tanabe's look and sound tame compared to the hi-powers.

that, and i got mine for a great deal.

Lol I actually have my stock exhaust in there but you can't see it. Yes they are home made door protectors, lol (Home Depot only had pink!). No lawn mower for me because it's an apartment complex and I don't have a lawn!

There are 3 different HKS exhaust systems available for the ISx50.
