If you mean aftermarket engine management systems, none exist.

The user Gernby has a homemade piggyback on his IS350 but it just monitors some data and adjusts AFR I believe.

Apexi Neo or an air fule controller will be the only thing u can use.

why would you need an aftermarket ecu??
I don't see any need of it.

tune air n fuel when i put all bolt on i kno the stock ecu will adjust but u wont get all the power u want

I had a look at this unit a while back. There is a note about it working on most vehicles that have a 0V - 5V MAP/MAF sensor.

I combed through the specs for the ISx50 MAP. The voltage range went from 0.3V to 3V or 3.4V. So it is not likely to work without some modifications if at all. Electrically, it would be fairly easy to make a circuit to scale the 5V signal to a 3V signal. Then again, it might be a pulsed signal so the voltage level might not matter so much. I am still thinking about this but don’t know enough information yet to start tinkering.

Also, I would be wary of messing with the MAP sensor as we don't really know how these direct injection cars will act when the sensor inputs are manipulated by a piggy-back.

I don't want to discourage you but it is not a plug and play solution from what I can tell.

Honestly the mazzuri headers are the only mod on this car (short of hacking together your own FI kit) that would change airflow enough to see any significant gains from this... even then I'd bet "significant" is on the order of maybe 10 horsepower.

Yes, it seems that this type of unit is best when you add larger fuel injectors and a larger diameter MAF. Then you can use this unit to adjust the A/F ratio that was made richer by the larger then stock fuel injectors. The basic concept seems to be increasing the dynamic range of the fuel adjustment so that you can dump more fuel into a boosted motor.

For simple bolt-on's it does not seem to be of much benifit. I was actually thinking about a A/F controller to 'optimize' the fuel curve when I get the Mazzuri headers installed. This depends on how the fuel curve looks when all is said and done of course.

I am planning baseline dyno's as well as a dyno for each mod. Phase one will include a JoeZ intake, headers and a few old-skool things. Then if the A/F doesn't look good then Phase two would be trying to correct it somehow.

I gotta wait until the weather breaks around here so it is going to be a couple of months before phase one is complete.

SAFC2 works fine. I picked up 6whp by leaning out the fuel from 45k rpm and up.Fuel Reduction of @ 8%. A/F ratios are now around 13.0 wot. During the SAFC setup you can do a sensor check and all of the voltages are inline. It doesn't matter what voltages you have, the AFC just changes the value the ECU sees. From what i've seen on TIS, the voltage is the common 0-4.5 volt toyota always uses.
