Default strange squeeking belt..... HELP

K guys.... I have an '02 IS300 (5 spd manual) and for some reason, when the clutch pedal is out, it sounds like i have a sqeeking belt, but when the pedal is depressed, the sound goes away! Does anyone have ANY idea of what this might be? Its driving me absolutely nuts.... I just didnt want to take it to lexus and pay them to look at it for 2 hours and drop $100+ just to figure out it was something simple!

Most likely the sound you are hearing is a bad throw-out bearing. The tranny needs to be pulled to change it out, and you might as well change the clutch while you're at it.

But, the good news is the sound is mostly just annoying so it's not an indicator that it will implode soon.
