Default OBX headers question

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about buying an OBX headers with a Y pipe that was made for the GS300 and the guy says that i will likely need an o2 simulator or a o2 sensor extender.

He pointed me to the following link on ebay for the o2 simulator extender:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLOX-...spagenameZWDVW

however, i'm not sure if he's right or not. Does anyone have any experience with this, and how many/where they would need to go?

thanks in advance

I cant comment on the O2 extender...dont know of anyone trying this at all....so I doubt it works.

Do a search on O2 simulators....there were some threads on it.

Pretty old thread here.

I can say from experience on 3 different cars that o2 defoulers work, but have also read other people say they still get cel's. A defouler will not clear a cel for a bad sensor though just removal of the cats. You must use a 90 degree on the midpipe sensor, there is not enough room to extend it straight out. But the one on the header by the firewall has enough room for either style.

Here is a 90 installed on my midpipe:
