Interesting......dirt collects around the ridges does not necessarily mean that the ridges were designed to collect dirt.

Sounds pathetic. Just tried it. Not sure if the f-sport intake is just as horrible or not. Am now afraid of spending 330 bucks.

im looking to get a joe z air intake for my is250 and drilling a couple holes, say maybe 4? But the Joe Z air intake? do i have to make sure where its made cause i don't wanna be getting a fake Joe Z if there is even such a thing? =P Any little details that can differentiate a real from a copy?

None... It just makes it louder so you don't "need" to drill any.

and in case you think i'm kidding, look at how many extra holes the f-sport lower airbox has compared to the oem airbox.

After I saw this thread I decided to do this.



After seeing the F box I drilled a hole the same size. And I dremeled off all the ridges so now it is smooth.

Ps: took me 2 hours haha
