Does modifying the stock airbox & using joez pipe make it sound exactly like the FSport intake? Can anyone post pix of how to modify the stock airbox?

Your goal would be to cut a hole just like this (see pic).....
- Pretty simple if you know how to work a dremel.

For a cleaner look, I would place a sliced rubber tubing around the cut hole edge...

For a ram air affect to work it MUST be a sealed system from the intake duct (which must be located at the leading edge where the air first hits the vehicle) to the intake manifold. A well developed/designed system will create a (very small) positive pressure in the intake system. If you cut a hole anywhere in the system you WILL negate the affect. The system on my motorcycle makes 14hp at 100mph. Again the system MUST be sealed and the intake location is critical.

Not sure about HP gains but I just installed the FSport intake and I'm happy with it, gives a nice, agressive tone at WOT.
