What do you guys use on your aftermarket headers and y pipe. do you use like copper silicone? the stock donuts?


i cant seem what the problem im having; i have a world sport2 exhaust and its droning alot!!. can a leak cause it to sound like a muscle car. and the ws2 to drone. or the stock resonerator is cracked.

i have a leak on my stock y pipe.but i am running toyomoto headers with new oem donuts and stock y pipe( with 2 leaks) and the ws2 exhaust system. i havnt got time to bolt up the toyomoto y-pipe and go to a muffler shop and extend it.

Use OEM gasket. They usually seal up better than most aftermarket gaskets that comes with the headers. And yes...certain leaks can cause a drone-like noise.

lol but the oem donut gaskets dont fit on the header and its sounds like a muscle car. im gonna have to make a gasket.

no i bought the headers used from a fellow member.


oh does anyone have the gasket that goes with the toyomoto headers. i want to see if i can get a scanned image of the gasket itself and trace and cut and make the gasket. i was told to use thin aluminum sheet and then apply copper silicone spray like 4 layers and then use that as a gasket.
