Default Input Wanted: Best Exhaust for a 02' GS300

Hey guys. I need some input. I was thinking of adding an exhaust to my 2002 GS300. I dont know if it'll sound good on a I-6. I want it to be quiet yet nice. Sorta like the G35's sound. Luxury yet exotic like purrrr. Someone said Borla? What exhaust is the best? Do i need a full catback or will just the muffler sound good? Whats the price range on something like this. I dont want to spend anymore then lets say $2-300 bucks. I just want some purrrr cause the car LOOKS WAY more meaner then it sounds! lol

Looking forward to your inputs folks as i would like to do this mod this week.

well if you really want a nice hum and quiet and classy i would say go with the Borla. its kinda pricy for only an axel back, but its sounds like the perfect sound for what you looking for. i have one and it is that exact sound that you are describing. its a little bit too quiet for me though.

Yeah Borla sounds good but i definitly dont want to spend over $500 for an exhaust.

I just ant to add some purr as my car has no sound but looks real aggressive.

If someone has one removed(apexi world sport 2 axleback ) off a 95 and doesnt have a flange does it make it universal to fit onto my car? Seller is claiming it will fit but i dont think so.

for that budget, you may filtered quite a bit out; unless incl used.
i would highly suggest the tanabe med touring for the I6-i love it ; but its not in your budget.

You are definitely in the used market. I would look into Borla, RMM, and HKS Hyper.

I heard the "Borla" muffler only with two resonaters taken out and it sounds pretty good. The guy had it done for a shade over $300.

I love the way my hks exhaust sounds on my gs3. Quiet at idle and has a nice sound at cruse. It is slightly louder than a g35 but way deeper.

Are they GS-specific mufflers or just a universal from Borla? The GS-specific Borla mufflers are pretty quiet.
