F-Sport Dual Exhaust System
The other night I was hanging out with a few friends after installing my intake, and I thought I'd wait one week to get the HKS Hi-Power exhaust for $600. Instead, I decided to go with the F-Sport exhaust because I'd already gone OEM with two other "major" mods, I might as well keep it going. I also had a dying urge to see how the F-Sport exhaust would sound compared to the Tanabe, another one of my top choices.
The F-Sport exhaust comes in a rather large box (had to part it out of the box to fit in my car) and has both mufflers, the Y-pipe, and a bag with two hangers, nuts and bolts to connect the mufflers with the Y-pipe, and instructions.
Install was simple (I'll get a DIY up later if anyone's interested). I had a friend help me out since the stock exhaust has the Y-pipe welded with the mufflers as one unit. I would say the total amount of time it took was around 30-45 minutes. We took our time with pictures, and finally enjoyed a beautiful day in Washington!
*SIDE NOTE*: When you remove the stock exhaust, start the car and push a few revs....it sounded AMAZING!
After install, we started it up and immediately it had the deep tone I was looking for. Pressed the gas a bit at idle and it was ultimately satisfying. We double-checked to make sure there were no leaks and to verify everything was positioned how it should be. Then came the drive![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I immediately fell for the sound. Inside the cabin it definitely has a stronger, more refined tone. When you're pushing to WOT and the intake kicks-in, the intake and exhaust complement each other really well, and between 3.5k-4.5k you can hear the intake butt-in. To describe the sound from inside, it's a strong, deep, yet clean tone that gives the car a nice purr.
Remembering the intake sounding stronger from the outside, I had my friend do a few drive-bys. It sounds MUCH better from the outside with a low growl that makes it sound aggressive. When you're off the gas it won't drone and it sounds stock, but otherwise the sound will kick-in
It's not loud enough to get you in much trouble, but it's definitely louder than the Tanabe.
I'm very glad I went with the F-Sport exhaust. It sounds VERY similar to the Lexus HKS (and came with HKS hangers). It was a simple install (no instructions really required, honestly) that delivered a deep, aggressive tone which is exactly what I was looking for. My overall experience with F-Sport products has been great thus far. It'll be a while before I do another mod (trying to save for some summer trips), but the next world will be Suspension![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I'll do my best to get a video up ASAP. Pictures will be up once they're done uploading, but for now I'm gonna go out for a drive![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Awesome! What you've described is exactly what I was hoping the F-Sport exhaust would be. I will be getting mine soon. Does it really look and sound the same as the Lexus HKS?
BTW, do you think the stock exhaust will fit in the F-Sport exhaust box?

That also could be a bad idea. I am trying to hold off on any major purchases. I just ordered a few things, and I have to wait till they arrive. Hearing the exhausts, could cause me to make another purchase.

Another nice write up!! ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
^ So are you saying that HKS is behind manufacturing the "F-Sport Exhaust" ??
If yes, its pretty much what I figured all along..
Since the Lexus HKS Dual Sport & Lexus F-Sport Exhausts pretty much look exactly a like..
