if youre willing to drive to queens, theres a muffler shop who does any welding/muffler service for roughly 40$'s. i used them like 3-4 times, no leaks and rust proof

Is it possible to cut out the stock mufflers and weld the stainless to the existing exhaust?
I know it would be better to fab up something that connects with a flange, etc... Just looking for the easy task without specialized rods.
Do you need special welding tools to weld SS to the stock exhaust?
I know you need specialized welding rods/coils for SS to SS.
Does anyone have a sound clip with Magnaflows using the stock resenator and without for conparison?

DSM: I just had the shop cut at the pipe before the mufflers. That way, you use the flanges from the stock exhaust system. As far as welding a TIG weld is much better and stronger.
