Hi guys
So I decided to go ahead and buy the Tanabe. After searching for a pretty long time I think I found the cheapest price out there. I paid 587 shipped which was part of the reason I didn't hesitate too long. I got it from http://www.jazzproparts.com and they offer free shipping on orders of $100 or more. It seems they are the cheapest on quite a few components.
The day after placing the order I became aware of the huge backorder on these exhaust and I called jazzproparts to see whether or not it was in fact on backorder.
They told me they would get back to me but I went ahead and decided to just contact Tanabe myself. It was then I became aware of two things. I can see Tanabes US headquarters from my office window, and that the exhausts are in fact on backorder for the next 6-8 weeks.
I was pretty convinced that since the guys at jazzproparts told me they were having Tanabe drop ship the items that I wouldn't get my exhaust until August or September. Contemplating canceling my order I called to see if they were able to get an estimate ship time.
To my surprise the guy at jazzproparts told me that they had one exhaust in stock with Tanabe and that it shipped out today and he should have a tracking # by tomorrow. This was quite surprising and I'm still not sure if I believe him lol. I guess I will find out definitely tomorrow, but if that's the case than I'm quite stoked. It seems people are scrambling to get their hands on these and are paying pretty big bux (740 shipped from option imports which has a few in stock).
I'll keep everyone posted but I would be ecstatic if I could install the exhaust this weekend.

I can weigh the stock midpipe over the weekend, but I can tell you right now that it is a heavy ****. Since the Megan comes in 2 pieces and the stock is 1 piece it is difficult to gauge accurately. But I would say the Megan is easily half the weight. Please be aware that my stock midpipe has the secondary cats removed and my Megan Midpipe has the main resonator removed.

Video is up. Not a big fan at WOT. We'll see how it sounds with the Tanabe. After browsing several youtube videos, it seems the addition of the midpipe gives it that fartcan noise, regardless of the axleback.

Any good muffler shop, should be able to weld it back on, in under an hour...
Get it done the same time you install the Tanabe axle back.
So everything lines up nicley.
Things will quiet down a bit with the resonator back on and the HKS Hi-power swaped out.
