Trade it in for an IS350.

Seriously.

That'd, by far, the best bang for the buck on increasing horsepower in an IS250.

Intake will run you $110-400 depending what kind you get, and add, MAYBE, 5 horsepower.

Exhaust will cost you $600-1600 depending what kind you get, and add, maybe, 7-15 hp tops.

So you can drop $2000 for 20 hp.

Or for the $4000-ish price difference from 250 to 350 gain over 100 hp. (and actually coming from an AWD model the price difference is even smaller)

You do lose AWD though.

The mazzuri headers are the one mod that's pretty decent bang/buck for the 250...something like 25hp for ~$1000 installed or ~$750 if you can do it yourself... but they don't fit AWD cars, and they're not street legal in any state in the US if that matters to you.

well are they street legal in canada? see the thing is... i need AWD bcuz i'm a canadian living in canada that endures canadian winters so awd is kinda necesary if i am gonna be able to drive this thing in the winter. i value my life and want to keep it so i think sticking to awd and uping it is my best option.

This is futile. Every time we "train"" a new user to look for the plethora of information that is already here 5 new ones show up... I have since given up on correcting the problem.

alright, well I got a 2008 IS 250 RWD. i haven't done anything to the engine & everything is still stock.

I am, however, interested in getting a cool air intake for it.

I've been searching around forums, and been hearing good reviews for the joez intake. My question is where am I able to order the product ?

Also do I just need to get that part ? or is there other recommendations so I dont mess up the engine.

Another concern is my "check engine light". I've been reading that it may come up on the dashboard. Is there any way I can void that when installing the intake ?

The Joe Z is just a tube. It replaces the stock piece that doesn't flow air quite as smoothly. If you install it correctly it shouldn't cause a check engine light or any other issues whatsoever.

And yes, that's all you need.
