Make sure your mass airflow sensor is pointing in the correct direction.

If that's not the issue then it may be just from the intake causing a lean condition since you are adding more air but not compensating for it (hence the reason the Srt setup comes with a piggyback ecu).

Get a safc and have it dyno tuned. Did you try resetting the ecu just to see what it will do? Did you touch or damage any of the o2 sensors or wires during the installation perhaps?

S.A.F.C.=super air flow converter

They are made by Apexi--> http://www.alamomotorsports.com/apexi/safc.html

You splice it into your stock ecu wiring harness and strap your car on the dyno. Your tuner will be able to make changes to correct your air/fuel ratio so you don't run too rich or too lean, in your case. This is the same as the SRT ecu, except that the safc's settings can be changed to accomodate any intake and other supporting mods, as opposed to the SRT ecu which will only work the SRT intake.

if you hypothetically went SRT intake, and full header back in a 2GS3, would you STILL lose low end but gain up high? I hate losing low end cause I do most of my gunning from a dig.

Depending on which header you get, bolt your aftermarket header onto your stock y-pipe or have a hi flow cat welded to your aftermarket y-pipe. You will not lose power, instead you will shift a couple of topend horsepower to your lower end.
