Default which is the best exhaust

im looking at getting a catback system for my car. i really like the tanabe medallion touring but i cant afford that. im wondering what system everyone likes or dislikes and best bang for the buck

Performance wise, exhaust doesn't offer much in terms of hp. I think most people buy it for the sound and the aesthetics. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have a freer flowing exhuast but don't expect to get any significant gains.

As far as bang for your buck goes, I'd look into some Magnaflows, they look and sound nice

I agree, they make the exhausts for RMM and I love the way my exhaust sounds.

Tanabe MT is my personal favorite so I saved up and pulled the trigger on it, couldn't be happier

are you mod'ing your car for all of us or for yourself?

do some research through the exhaust threads and sound clips and i'm sure you'll find something you'll like.

Well since you said you can't afford the Tanabe.... I voted other. Either go with Borla or Magnaflow. I don't like the huge canisters that some of the brands offer. They look too "tuner" to me.

my buddy has a apexi ws2 on a 98 gs3 i love how it sounds so i think im leaning toward that. plus its a cat back. the hks i wanted was axle back and pretty much all of my stock pipe is rusted through
