Default Just installed Borla Exhaust

Hey fellas i have been reading up and posting up a bit here and there but this is my first post of my recently installed Borla exhaust!!!

Now i bought it from a member here and this is the old model i beleive from research. Its the one with the oval tips.

I first installed it and thought it wasnt aggresive enough so i removed 1 of the 3 resonators. It sounded good but i wanted more so a week later went back and removed all 3 Resonators!!!! Now its a BEAST!!!!!

BTW its a 1999 Lexus GS 400

Heres some clips from youtube:

Awesome! I'm going to redo my exhaust system. My borlas are a bit too quiet sometimes.

I wasn't able to get a confirmed answer so perhaps someone can answer that here. Does the first resonator (closest to the headers) have an emissions purpose? Some said yes and some said no. To be safe, I only removed the 2 rear resonators. Can anyone come up with a conclusive answer?

To the OP: I have Magnaflows which are very similar to Borlas and they sound great as well! You made a good choice!

i bought the exhaust for around $500 and change and then the install plus all 3 resonators removed came out to around $175 so it wasnt that bad at all.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. im going to post up some pics of the L-Sportsline Roof spoiler i installed and the limo tints all around including windshield!!!!

Sounds great! How loud is it in the car? Is it much louder than before you removed the resonators? Does it drone any?

when it has all the resonators is too quiet almost stock quiet until you really step on it. with one resonator removed its ok and i do not need to tell you about all 3 lol! its awesome i really recommend all 3 being removed if you go with borla
