hehe that's just a performance test. they should've tested what the mpg advantage/disadvantage looked like

well if anyone is duing any performance parts.. and considers tuning with an safc or something.. then the higher octane gas the better..

but to most people i think what matters is what they pay at the pump and what they save over time.

Saving $2 on a tank of gas versus getting less power, possibly worse mileage, and maybe needing a new engine eventually.

Yes, it's the same math that has people selling paid off cars that get 25 mpg, and paying $5,000 over MSRP for new cars that get 35 mpg.
