Whats up Ricky....

It's funny, we both have put these cars up for sale, yet we both keep spending money on them. I sold my whole drivetrain with all intent on stripping the car down and selling piece by piece. Not sure what happened to that plan, but Ive dropped about 14k and counting into the winter rebuild project since selling the damn dirvetrain.

Everytime I think IM out, they pull me back it! Whast movie was that from, Scarface I think.

Does this **** ever end?????

I thought it was gonna end when I bought the STI. But "something happened on the way to the market" lol. I love this car. I guess if no one wanted it and was gonna take care of it, I might as well keep it and drive it into the ground myself. Problem is, just like you, I donʻt want to see the car just rotting away. It needs to go down with dignity. Maybe we should just trade cars for a while then trade back.......no bad idea, who knows I might just drop even more money into yours and vice versa! lmfao.

You just be safe, take care of the family. The car will sort itself out. At least thatʻs what I believe.

So this is the latest reincarnation of the motor. Because this is likely the last "rebuild" I will do for this car, I changed up the look and made it a "black top" it was initially "black chrome" powdercoating.

I have been driving it around. I just went to the dyno to get it retuned. 400 rwhp 385 tq at 0.7 bar.
500 rwhp , 460 tq at 1.1 bar. Have more room to go, but seriously, I don't think I will ever use that much HP. I drive my kids around in the car. More than enough torque to spin the 285/30/20 tires when I drive at 35 mph and floor it. (and I do have a TRD LSD installed)

"Cricket" as my girls like to call my car, is plenty fast. I have a newfound respect for torque monster vehicles.

one question you say you have a trd lsd? whered you get it because i believe everyone with a gs4 should upgrade there dif to a lsd

I purchased the TRD LSD from Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota. They are a sponsor to this site.
I think I bought it nearly 8 years ago. I had a Supra TT LSD in the car initially, the gearing was not what I wanted, so I changed it out to the TRD one with the original GS400 ring and pinion gear.
