Sorry, No real update at this time. I am supposed to get the block back from the shop this week. They had trouble sourcing the sleeves. The sleeves came in last week, and they said the block will be done this week. Now with a resleeved block, this bottom end should be pretty much bulletproof with the targeted hp levels I will try to attain.
young's 96: The tranny will still be automatic, take a look at the first page of this thread. I should be more than enough to handle what I want to throw at it.

Got the block back from the shop last week. Will start assembly of the short block this week with projected install in 2 weeks. I will need to get some things ceramic coated so I hope this doesn't put a dent in the time line. I'll have some pics in a week.

So here is an update. I have been running into all kinds of setbacks. But the motor is finally coming around. I will post pics of parts that were powder coated, ceramic coated and whatever other coats can be placed. Overall, I am extremely happy with the look of the motor. I just want the mechanics/power of the motor to match it's looks. The car should be running soon. But I will just keep my fingers crossed.
Some guys at the shop have nicknamed the motor "Duracell" or the "bunny killer" (I guess they were referencing the Energizer bunny)

I'll have much better pics later, I took these with my cell.
