Looking to Purchase an Exhaust?
#2
Both of these systems are only axle-back systems so neither of them is going to give you a noticable HP increase. At this point it comes down to whether or not you want a really loud exhaust or not. From what I hear the Tanabe is quieter and the HKS is very loud. There's also the LMS and the Megan Racing exhausts if you're looking for more options. Both of these are full cat-backs.
Again, it all depends on what kind of sound you're looking for.

I would suggest going with a full cat-back if you're looking for any semi-significant gains. I would wait and see if anyone else decides to chime in. Someone who actually has a Tanabe/HKS exhaust could probably be of more help with this subject.

there's a group buy on the PTS joe-z series exhaust:

8-10 hp. better than anything you'll get w/ an axleback...

I would say that NONE axle-back exhaust is gonna give you what you want. (HP gain) For real gains you have to go further on modifications such as full cat-back exhaust, intake, throtle body spacer, etc.
None of those mods by itself is gonna give you a super nice gain....my 2 cents....
