I didn't notice that the mid-pipe is 2 pieces until now. Did you add another set of hangers in the middle to take the load off the middle flanges? If not, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about some broken bolts in the next year.
Other than that, it looks like the nicest exhaust option out there for the 2IS.

As side note to your question, adding another set of hangers to the mid pipe or front pipe is not necessary at all.
Also, impossible since there are no other OEM hanger points on the car...
The oem front-mid pipe is only held on by the 4 nuts & bolts at the oem manifold flanges.
The oem rear axle muffler section has the 3 sets of hanger points and 2 bolts.
The way we designed the system, is to work with the oem hanger points.
So our mid pipe section has the main center hanger point which holds the entire system perfectly balanced in conjunction with the front section and the two rear axle sections. Of course once all hanger points are properly positioned and flanges are bolted down correctly.
I am certain the automotive grade hardware (8 nuts & bolts) we are using, are holding just fine.
Since there is NO load pushing down on just those 4 bolts and/or middle flanges.
For the record our R&D car has been rolling around for well over a year now with zero issues.. Everything is still perfectly held together in place with no signs of any bolt problems..
Thank you
Joe Z

I'm glad to hear that the prototype hasn't had any issues, and I hope that none of the production units do. However, if you do a vector analysis of all the forces acting on each of the flanges, you'll see that the 2 OEM flanges aren't being submitted to the same forces your 3 flanges will experience. Adding that 3rd flange in the middle without a hanger nearby causes some lever arm / pivot forces on all 3 flanges, but the 2 stock exhaust flanges pretty much just support weight.

This exhaust has to be the most perfectly centered exhaust out for the IS.
Prob the best sounding exhaust.
And almost best looking (besides mine of course )
Joe, you did a wonderful job developing the exhaust.
Who knows, maybe I'll have race version with catted options some day
To bad I don't like the tips, dam BODY KITS!!!!
