Question on Joe-Z intake (sound)
Hi,
I have an IS250 AWD, and i just paid some shop tointalled my Joe-Z intake, but they said i don't need to reset the thing, so do i have to reset it? and i don't hear any deeper sound from the hood, what can i do to make the deeper sound deeper?

personally i did reset it.. to make it sound deeper u will need to drill or cut out a hole like the f-sport inatke. i did to mine and sounds deeper and i could hear it over my tanabe exhaust. i did not notice any difference in performance when i drilled, but it gave me some sound. or u could just take off the tube thing going to ur box which would leave a huge hole n ur box then ull get some sound. but ull get a bunch of hot air in to ur engine.

I know some people are afraid to DIY on something as easy as installing Joe Z pipe. It come with step by steps instruction..you'll just have to follow each step. Next time try working on your car and save some money, you'll feel a great accomplishment afterwards.

they are drilling the hole on the side that is facing the front of the car..since that is the place where the least heat will be sucked in. Also the size of the holes don't really matter that much.. there are people that did 20 small holes.. or people wo did a big 3" hole.
I personally prefer the small holes because you can make them flow nicely with the grooves in the stock box.
