The MAF on GS400 is quite a bit different from 430. I believe its also a hot wire MAF, but the wire is encased within "egg shaped" housing.

+1 this same problem happened to me about a week after i installed my k&n filter. i couldnt figure out why my gs was pinging and seemed like misfiring so i took it to a mechanic which told me that my maf had build up on it... this was also 1 month after the dealer replaced my throttle body... which im hoping they cleaned my MAF then

A while later my engine started "pinging". I had a long thread on it in the 2GS forum. Eventually it turned out my MAF had some build up on the hot wire. Cleaned it off, and threw the POS K&N out, will never touch one again with a six foot pole.

Does the SRT work with a A/F controller? Does any one know or done this before?
