I can't decided what to put on my 2000 GS400. The SRT with their Race ECU or a K&N intake with the Apexi NEO. I already have a Borla exhaust with 2 resonators removed, lowered on 20's. I want more power but also a little more mpg would help to for the long drives.
What would you all suggest?

....Depends. Will you mod more in the future like headers and exhaust? If so, definitely go with the K&N intake and the Neo; that's what I did. If you are NOT going to mod anymore than this intake; get the SRT.
Just an FYI...they say that a GS4XX typically dyno's around 245whp stock. I am currently at just about 270whp. I only have the K&N FIPK intake and the Apexi Neo (tuned) along with a Borla exhaust (however people say that the exhaust MIGHT give you 2whp). So, in essence my car MADE somewhere between 20 and 25 WHP!!! just with this K&N intake and the NEO! I KNOW the SRT will NOT mach this...maybe 15whp will come out of the SRT. GL on your choice.

Many performance mods like; exhausts, headers, some computers/ECU's/chips, intakes, lightweight wheels, flywheels, and underprive pulleys actually increase MPG's by finding hidden horsepower and making the motor more efficient.

I went ahead and ordered the SRT intake with the ECU from Swift Racing. If I isn't as good as they say, then I will pull the ECU and try the NEO.
I also removed all 3 resonators from the exhaust, and now my Borlas let everyone know I have a V8!

I went this route and it is perfect for me. The car pulls better from a stop and has quicker acceleration. Plus, it was easy to install and I don't have to mess with getting a tune. Just what I was looking for.
