I doubt it would sound like Kinney's setup due to it's true dual design and x pipe. Also the Kinney's setup doesn't sound very good to me in the vids I've seen. Too raspy, but the tips he uses on the magnaflow mufflers look amazing on the car.

thanks for the heads up jeremy..did you replace the oem resonator with an aftermarket one?

any sound clips or video of the current setup?

caymandive, couldnt agree more with you....it doesnt sound good to me too....

maybe because of the x pipe? i would think that straight pipe all the way to the muffler would give a smoother and louder sound?? what do u think?

Give it a try. You may also consider doing an exhaust cutout that you can open electronically from inside the car. You'll then have a nice loud car when you want to, but also something more acceptable the rest of the time.

Check out this thread. A member with an IS-F did it and seems to be what you are looking for. FWIW the IS350 and IS-F exhaust has the same design just larger.

Also what is the brand of E-cutout that the ISF is using? I searched and came out with JSC and QTP....JSC looks so much cleaner than QTP...

lol...gonna pm the ISF guy now....btw, would you place it in place of the resonator like the ISF setup then?

then i should just try to cut the resonator first and hear how it sounds...if it sounds great then i would probably do the cut out...

EDIT: oh noes....look what i found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWNlZl2iaMo

wouldnt it sound just like that? ughh....i was expecting a deeper tone...lol
