Default Finally! Megan Mid-pipe/Tanabe Exhaust/Injen Intake

hello everyone..I just purchased the Megan Midpipe from M1 today
and installed it few hours ago..

it took me nearly an hour and thirty min. to intall the midpipe cuz my friend
and I were installing in my garage.. anyways,,

I got to say..I'm little disappointed in a way that it sounds..
I know lots of people said that the sound gets deeper..but when I first
turn on the engine..it was way quieter than Tanabe alone..

I think it sounds deeper at WOT..but I think I like the deep sound from
Tanabe at low RPM better..maybe I'll have to break in my midpipe
to get the true sound out of it..

anyways,,I loved the sound when my midpipe was off..
it's LOUD~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!! so I'm assuming that that's how it
will sound if I put a TEST pipe, or take off the resonator from
Megan Mid-pipe,,right??

BTW..do you guys feel any rattling? vibrating underneath your feet when
you accelerate?? it wasn't like this when I only had the Tanabe

anyways,,I'm very happy at WOT..but not too happy at low RPM
it's just not deep anymore...I was gonna post some pics but
we already got a whole thread with pics and stuff
so I just wanted to share what I think about the megan midpipe..

performance wise..I feel a little difference..but I wasn't really hoping for
a huge difference either..just wanted some sick deep sound..that's all..

How was the install? Pretty simple? Similar to installing the Tanabe?

yes..very simple..just bolt-on
BUT you must have O2 sensor sucket!
I don't know any other way to take that off without the sensor sucket!

I grabbed it from Auto Zone

Remember a cold start the car will idle higher and sound louder. The Megan midpipe with Tanabe is absolutely deeper and louder than just the Tanabe alone from my experience. Also if you hear a rattle it's one of your heat shields touching the Megan midpipe. You will need to bend it just a tad away from the midpipe and you'll be set.

BTW..Congrats on a very impressive install time. Took my buddy and I over 4 hours, but that's because we had to go back to the shop a few times to get the right O2 socket.

^ I went to the autozone and there was only one O2 sensor Socket
that's the one that I used to remove my sensor..
the guy said that there is only one socket for O2 sensor, but it seems like
there are more than one,,=/
just try the one from autozone, and just make sure you keep all the
tags just in case you need to return it!

BTW..has anybody noticed the growling sound when you first turn on the car?
the sound is not smooth..=/ it's very hard to explain but it's just not
smooth..lol..maybe I have to break in little more!

Is there any way you can post up videos, I'm looking into getting the midpipe, I hope the sound you talk about gets different as it breaks in
