bitter sweet...
although i loooooove my, new to me ARC intake that i got from johnnyboy:
my MAF sensor for the intake has gone off twice in the last 600 miles. =/
im gettin sick of having to go my local lexus dealership to have them keep resetting my ECU, but i am not by any means trying to get rid of this intake.
is there an aftermarket MAF sensor that will work with the increased airflow?
or is there something i can do to make the sensor stop tripping?
help would be greatly appreciated.

a bit of topic but do our cars use mafs or do they use a combination of a maf (mass air flow sensor) and a map (manifold apsolute preasure) because if they use both like a lot of higher end cars it could be tripping that too

this has nothing to do with the manifold. and no there are no other sensors that were on the stock airbox that arent on the new one. there is only the air hose and MAFS

Did you make sure everything is connected tightly? I had an Injen intake on my other car and the CEL went off. Turned out the intake loose and all I did was re tighten everything and it never went off again.

Very simple problem but I don't know how you'll fix it. The CEL is coming from uneven airflow across the MAF. The MAF is too close to the filter media. It is a factory flaw in the ARC box. You will have to find a way to even the airflow across the MAF to solve this problem.
I'd frist try to block off the filter on top and let it pull like the factory air box from the side. Also you need to put back on the factory air scope. Your not taking advantage of the cold air feature of this intake.
BTW...........Mad JDM points ...1000
