Default SRT Turbo kit.

http://swiftracing.com/SRT/item.aspx?id=10

Should I get that? Would I need anything else?

also, would I need to get a new exhaust, I really like the one I have now

Thanks.

well honestly it depends on the mileage on your engine. i know we've discussed the swap option haha but i mean if your engine has high mileage on it you're better off to put the 5k toward a swap, and then save and maybe go big single later on. If you strap a turbo on a high mileage engine odds are things are gonna start popping and blowing up all over the place and you'd spend the money that you'd otherwise put into the GTE on replacing parts and rebuilding the motor.

just my .02. the valve body upgrade is an excellent idea though, as well as a torque converter, just to cover some of the lower points of our transmissions

oh well in that case yeah def. go NA-T. Just make sure you match your engine building to your trans building otherwise she'll go Ka-Boom and turn into a glider rather than a jet

Just the sound of na-boom sounds tragic .
actually I was thinking, if I were to go out and get the parts seperate from a kit, would I be better that way? (as far as price)

Look into the XS power kit. Good price and many good reviews on it.

I've hurd you have to buy a bunch of more components to make it work on your car. and the way I calculated is it's going to be around 5-6k for that kit comlpete.

the SRT is going to be the most complete kit on the market, not to mention the added efficiency and upgradability of the big single. plus, SRT is definitely accessible right here on the forum if you have any problems.

AH WAIT! the link you have above is for an IS, though its the same motor you may end up with problems for fitment on certain things. I'd consult SRT before buying anything. They have the ability to put together a custom setup for you, i'm sure they can make one up within your budget.

Yes they do make a GS300 specific kit, which means all the IC piping and exhaust piping will fit the GS.

your exhaust should be ok but you'll need a custom downpipe to link the turbo manifold and the cat/ypipe.

you should be able to keep most of your exhaust and just have an exhaust shop make it work up front around the down pipe

if it doesn't fit at first cut weld and make it fit
