I recently toke the K&N kone filter off and put back the factory filter and I was amazed by the difference in how much smoother my car runs. The car seems to perform a lot better in terms of acceleration and quickness.

I have done so many mods to my car since my first mod (the K&N FIPK intake) that I am not even sure if it is a + or - with regard to performance as compared to the stock air box. I wish someone had a dyno chart to prove this notion. Just for a regular intake system (Not SRT with their ECU).

i will say that without a piggyback like SRT's or an a/f controller like a neo you're running a risk. too rich, youll bog, too lean, youll misfire.

You only run that risk if you do not install an intake made for your car.
FYI, most intakes loose low end, but gain top, so pick to your likes.
