2mpg is worth it to me since I will be commuting a hell lot more this time around. My l-tuned springs aren't really comfortable anyways so the ride quality is minimal when I increased the pressure to 36psi. Not to mention, There is less of that boat feel around sharp turns. I flip my tires anyways so the inside and outside wear out about the same amount.

i would but my HRi's are unidirectional, theyre marked left and right, inside and out haha.

Theres a big thread in the LS400 forum right, with members getting ~25% mileage improvement from replacing their ECT sensor (engine coolant temp).

haha i know, i thought they messed up because on the rears the left side tread goes forward and the right side goes toward the rear, i was all confused

Man my mpg has been horrible ever since i bought the car a year ago (GS430 btw). Even before when the car was stock I never got over 15 mpg in the city and that's driving under 3k rpm 95% of the time. On the highway though my best mpg avg. was 23. Now with my mods and system I'm getting about 13 - 14 mpg city and I'll figure my highway mpg this weekend when I go on my long vacation ... Maybe I seriously need a tb cleaning lol

mmmmmmm sometimes ... no but seriously I did a test once and for a full tank i did not go over 2500 rpm even once !! and in the city i only got 15 mpg, and with highway city mix, only 17 mpg

Really? I think all of my tires have been unidirectional. I actually mounted them incorrectly one time and drove in the rain, kinda scary, LOL.

Do you have aftermarket +1 or 2 wheels on your car ? Installing 20" tire/wheel combo's generally are around 1" taller than stock, which will throw your "displayed" odometer mileage off around 6 % or so...your true mileage covered after 200 odometer miles would be 212 miles actual.

EPA ratings for this car was 17 mpg city.

Another thing, if you have a serious electrical load on your system because of a large current draw of a big stereo system, the alternator "drag" produced by the big amperage draw may be sufficient to drag your mileage down 1 mpg or so.

Also......does your state change the fuel blends it sells based on the seasonal climate change ? Seems more and more post about poor fuel economy are coming from the east coast regions.

I was just thinking the same thing after seeing all the posts recently about random drops in fuel economy.

Well I have about 800 watts of current running through my system, but I've noticed much more than a 1mpg drop. TB cleaning sounds good.
