How are exhausts installed? Any concern after going back to stock from aftermarket?

Default How are exhausts installed? Any concern after going back to stock from aftermarket?

Checking out an IS350 later and the guy said he removed his Greddy exhaust from the car for separate sale and I'm just wsondering if that's going to be a problem with installing an aftermarket exhaust and then removing it going back to stock. Are exhausts welded onto the car? Just worried about the integrity underneath after all of the work.

Nothing to worry about. On our cars, they just bolt on.

Yea all the exhaust that are MFG will bolt on and not require any modding to your car so hang on to the OEM exhaust for when you sell the car and you can sell it to another member and most wont want a car with aftermarket parts.

Taking it off is easy if you are good with the tools. WD-40 will help with the hangers if you dont have a lift and do it in your garage. If its just the Axle back this is an easy DIY yourself in your home garage with a Jack and 2 stands. ~ 30 min for someone to install.

If you are looking for a full set up do your research first. You will have one company that offers a mid pipe to match up to the axle back and you have 2 companies that offer a full exhaust set up. Depends on how much you want to spend and what you are looking for out of it.

PM me if I can be of help.

I was having trouble with the bolt with a spring on it. Mine seem like it was torque down really tight.

just wondering, is it safe to leave car on just jack stands? My frame is bent like hell. I might just grab some rhino ramps for 12,000 pounds and jack stands for backup.
