ha i was wondering when you were gonna join this. i have done some highway runs with a low 900 hp supra, n a mid 800 stroker corvette, n messed with a few vipers but no stand and run drags.... i might be interested after i finish this rebuild though. motor going bored/stroked to a 1143cc from 1027cc and low compression (havent decided how low yet) and either modifiying a slowboy manifold from a 2004 gsxr 1000 to fit or having my builder custom make me a manifold for the t-25 or the T3 Super 60 im gonna run. mid to high 300 hp on LOW boost here i come..... i think i'll have to change turbos to get the mid 500's im wanting but thats 2 summers away atleast for 500 hp, i want the mid 300 by time summer comes! maybe then jeff i'll come play with you and your friends......

Default Ha, Ha, you bully. When are you coming to NYC?

I can set up something if you want to run for some dollars. You can use the sneaky pete. Send me a pm if you are interested.

Later, Jose

hey, I know this came up a long time ago...but you guys talked about using 10w40 20w50 15w50 oil in your turbocharged cars...and i was jw...why such a high viscosity? I mean it calls for 5W30 or 10W30...does adding a turbo make it so you really need the higher viscosity?
thanks

Where are you guys ordering your motors from? im looking for a reputable company to either order another 2jzge or to go ahead and get the 2jzgte.. Im in tampa florida so a local place would be even better.. But reputable is my number 1 priority.

thanks in advance.

long story short i didn't look at all the pictures of one of the manifolds i found on ebay...

but another note i wanted to thank you for your assistance in helping me lighten my wallet and i have still not yet picked up everything to go for the gusto and be boosted (but i'm getting very very close!)

question:
i'm looking at the AEM FIC units, it seems there are a few different units which one is the one needed for a gs300 na-t set up?

units i found 30-1910, 30-1913, 30-1930, etc

At a low horsepower level, yeah it is possible at the expense of a big hp loss. On higher boost applications however, there is no such thing. You will need to have a free flowing exhaust system, which will be loud.

Having a fast car and being quiet...that's my goal right now. I have the stock exhaust system hooked up and even the wastegate on the turbo is recirculated back into the downpipe. At the absolute best, I will only be able to make 500-600whp(wild guess) through the restrictive stock exhaust system. I also have an exhaust cutout which I can flick a switch and it will dump the exhaust right after the downpipe. That alone can free up to 200+ more HP.

The only reason I'm doing it is so when I am in stealth mode, I can fly down the street and all you will hear is a jet flying down the street
