yea where 2? and wouldnt it be better to wrap the piping with a heat shield?

i dont know if that is any more useful than the ram air duct already going into the box from the grill area

great effort, although I highly doubt you will gain any added benefit from this. By the placement of the piping and the material of the piping, the cold air that initially enters may heat up. That aluminum piece is heat conductive.. If you placed the piping on the otherside of the air box away from the heat source, and get a bigger diameter pipe, it may be worth while.

This was probably something I would do on my civic, but a little too ghetto for my 40K car.

the air travels quickly when moving so it wouldn't really heat up from the pipe.

pipe would cool off quick too when driving with all that air flowing.

also when ur idling and hit the gas, u want some "warm" air to get into the engine to make more power. "cold" air is better when moving

piping prob leads to the the lower grill/vents

other than cosmetic enhacements, all engine mods done to a civic are good enough to be done to ours.

Nice job, I was waiting for someone to do this! I assume you have it in the front fender? and what do you have on there for a filter if anything?

what's the track temp? air is only good as whoevers blowing out gasses infront of you or the air coming off the earth.
