Most definitely. A couple guys have done this before, so it might be worthwhile to search the forum. Perhaps you can get the midpipe and the HKS silencers?

by that do you mean that all you hear is engine noise?

I think he means u hear the exhaust ... since he said "you know you have an HKS"

The HKS hi-power is one of the loudest cat backs you can buy ... and thats without the help of headers and a mid pipe

i think the OP wanted to know how the hks hi-power would sound w/ aftermarket midpipes.

actually, all you'll hear is the exhaust. i've heard the hks hi-power w/ modified stock midpipes (no resonators, so sound-wise it should be close to the aftermarket midpipes), and it is stupid loud.

as a matter of fact, the CL member (here in socal) that has this set-up got a fix-it ticket for it, and is now looking to trade in his hi-power for tanabe's.

imo do not run the hks hi-power w/ aftermarket mid-pipes (or modified stock mid-pipes) unless you really -and i stress "really" - don't mind how loud it is.

I do have that exhaust, but the sound dies after 3k. So i was wondering if the drone goes away, and the car actually gets louder.
