I would try to do some custom OEM looking engine covers like the 2IS, which cover the entire engine bay. Really clean, OEM style and it hides everything.

I would look into a cast manifold, rather than a tubular header, because it sits low in the engine bay. Notice the engine cover, it is the same on the GS. So the open space is what you have to work with.
Older SRT 2.75 kit w/ cast manifold

This is a PLP S/C but notice the black piping, very stock looking.

The old PFS turbo kit utilized the stock airbox on the IS300, very cool .

I have a couple other options I may do, depending on what setup I decide to go with. Now I understand that in CA, if you get pulled over, cops will make you pop your hood. I think the biggest way to avoid this is to prevent any attention to yourself. I would drive like a grandma and not a jackass. They won't expect too much that a Lexus is turbo'd, but it is a lot more common now so if they aren't already catching on, they will soon. Good luck.

i would honestly stay away from it unless you have a serious heatshield on the turbo and manifold because that plastic cover will definitely melt.
