the HKS hi-power (not to be confused w/ the lexus/HKS set-up) is the loudest axle-back application.

anything louder will either be a full cat-back (see joe z/PTS, megan) or have resonators removed from the stock mid-pipes (see UCLAjimmy, etc.).

the greddy SP2 isn't as loud as the HKS hi-power, but has a nice growl.

I know some people say that Tanabe sounds like G35, but it doesn't~!!!
I used to have G35, and I also had Tanabe on my IS at some point, and it never sound like G35
I have a Tanabe MT and a LMS intake....naw, doesn't sound like a G35...at one point I thought it did but oh well...i'm getting old....Tanabe is too loud for me. I'm selling it.

Blah! And yes Tanabe is QUIET but wont sound as good as G35 =P

I think the hks-hipower looks ricer imo, when you think "ricey" you think big rounded exhaust where you can stick your hand through..

for OP, SeOuLiS250 has wald exhaust. looks freaking sick, sound awesome too. i'd say its faily loud. imho, my exhaust sounds louder kuz of i removed the resonator. but his exhaust is really really aggressive. i know youre looking for a quiet exhaust, but if you ever wanna go for style points and sound points, go for the wald.
LOL so your car is louder than my Wald huh??
how do you drive that everyday??? I wouldn't drive anything louder than my car..lol
so OP..did you pick your exhaust??

Members, I've just finished removing several posts from this thread. Let's please keep this thread on topic - feedback on sound levels of all the exhausts available for the 2IS.

I'm also looking to buy an exhaust. Looking @ Tanabe and Greddy SE. I've never heard of them in real life, only on youtube which they sounded the same to me. Anyone knows which one is more quiet? or which one sounds better in ur opinion?

both sounds really good and the tanabe is the quieter one but if you have a 250, I recommend you going Greddy se but if you have a 350 both are good enough
