I am not confident that it will work with the Lexus ECU.

Do you know of anyone using it?

The factory top speed is limited at 149mph... have you even gone this fast?

Here's a write up on how to do it on a Supra. Hopefully you'll be able to glean some useful info from it.

I'm assuming you purchased the "type-2" HKS SLD?

Lol yea I question if it will work too with the encrypted toyota ECU. Why would you want it? I hit my limiter once and felt like 150 is fast enough for me.

Sale the car and get your money back on the SLD, because if you need to go faster than 150 mph, you are in the wrong car. No one I know and I have seen on these boards have installed one. Besides the GS HP (300), weight and aerodynamic drag will keep it from going any faster.

Your best bet would be to just have a friend translate it, if you don't know anyone that can read Japanese there are services online that will translate it for you. You can see which ecu schematic that you need from the manual so you really only need a few small pages translated for the wire colors etc.....

P.s- I hope you didn't pay too much for it, I was selling mine brand new in the box for a deal

It should be fine. That is the one we use on Aristos to remove the 112mph limit and it works. AFAIK The HKS SLD 2 is th only one that works on the Aristo/GS

I already gave you your answer.

You already stated in your first post that you have the instructions but they are in Japanese

I have an Hks Sld Type II sitting on my desk and I've already done the research on what your asking. What I listed above are your options, the reason you can't find instructions in English is because there aren't any. That is a special order part from Hks, it's meant for the Japanese market, hence no English.

Just use Google and find a place that translates and scan your Japanese instructions then send it to them in a PDF file. As I said before, you only need a couple pages translated. Spend a few minutes figuring out which ecu is in your car and have the appropriate pages translated. Simple task, just needs a little effort.

If you bought it fome a HKS auth. dealer call them and have them call HKS and get the instructions with the english translations on them. If you did not get it from a auth. HKS dealer good luck.

I don't know of anyone using this unit on the GS400 I have one on my 300 but don't know if the wireing is the same and lost my instructions.

Good Luck,
Ben

Did that work for you? I spoke with Hks U.S.A twice and they repeatedly told me there were no english instructions available and they did not offer any support for the item as it wasn't a U.S market product, didn't matter who I purchased it through, authorized or not (I did buy from an authorized dealer however).
