Default Installing Quick Shifter

Hey Guys,

Hopefully I'm posting in the right section. I just ordered the Fsport quick shifter and am wondering if I should get it installed at the dealership or at a respectable shop. Is the quick shifter complicated to install? Do local shops need to be trained to install the short shifter? Also, after the installation, should i be expecting any old parts to come off? ie) do they take out a part and put in the short shifter.

Thanks for your input.

i did it myself, all you need is basically a few jackstands, a jack, some tools, and a few hours.

i must say.. getting the shift boot ON and OFF is a *****. the kit comes with instructions and following it is easy.. it's just doing some of the parts that might be hard.

dodge the high price of installation at a stealership/shop and do it yourself, imo.

question. if you do it yourself or at a shop, does that void warranty on that item?

its for the IS250 Manual. I say do it yourself. it'll take a couple of hours because you are working with very limited space. The e-ring and shift boot are a PITA. Don't give away your money to the stealership. Use it for other parts.

I have my quich-shift in my room right now haha..as everyone should know is350 is automatic only..is250 is either auto w/AWD or manual w/ RWD. quick shift for MANUAL only. i was thinking whether to do it myself or have it installed by the STEALER also but w/ the dealerstealer they warranty the part i don't know if it's one year, or until your manufacture warranty on the car is up hrmmm i 4get. i did the full led conversion/tail light vinyls/fogs n xenon replacements but i'm not screwin around with my shifting :/..if someone in ur area can do it and the dealer is chargin more than 150/200$ go to them..or if yaa got sum bawlls, go under ur baby.
